SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION BY ABSENTEE BALLOT ONLY
School Board Election Conducted via Absentee Ballot
The date for the school board election is Tuesday, June 9.  However, due to COVID-19, the school board election will take place via absentee ballot. We WILL NOT have a physical polling site at the school on June 9.
To request an absentee/mail ballot, you may either contact the school for an absentee ballot application or check the box on the form you receive from the county requesting a school election absentee ballot.   The Absentee/Mail Ballot Application form will also be available on our website.  We will then send you the ballot with a secrecy envelope and a self-addressed stamped outer envelope for you to return your ballot by regular USPS mail.
This year there are two items on the ballot.
  • The first item on the ballot is to vote for three school board members.
  • The second item on the ballot is to vote as to whether you want the school board minutes to be published in the Jamestown Sun which costs around $1500 per year.  We always put the minutes in the newsletter and post them on our website.  This vote asks if you also want them to be published in the Jamestown Sun.  A YES vote means you want the minutes published in the Jamestown Sun and a NO vote means you are content with having the minutes in the newsletter and on our website.  If you have any questions about the election or want more information on how to obtain a ballot, please call the school.
