The City of Medina will begin construction on a water & sewer project soon. The anticipated start date is April 16. Portions of School Street and 3rd Avenue will be closed during this construction project. Please use Park Road and Park Lane to access the school parking lot during construction.
There will be a fundraiser held on Saturday, April 20 to support Lucas Lytle and Trevor Miller with their trip to Salt Lake City for the national archery tournament. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, eggs. juice, and coffee will be available. A free will donation will be taken and all proceeds will go towards travel expenses for Lucas and Trevor.
Alaina Bosche, Madison Hofmann, and Taryn Mittleider represented our school last weekend in the ND All-State choirs. We are so proud of you! Alaina was also the recipient of the "4-year award" for being chosen for an All-State choir all 4 of her high school years. Congratulations on being the only class B student to earn the award this year!


Good luck to our junior and senior high Science Olympiad teams tomorrow (Thursday) at their competition at BSC. Students in grades 7-10 will competing. They will leave the school at 7:15 am (be to the school by 7:05 am) and plan to return by 3:25 dismissal time.

We are still experiencing some cold temps and we need students to bring hats, gloves, coats and winter gear as they have multiple recesses outside each day. We want students to be bundled up so they can stay warm.

The elementary VB match in Medina vs. Buchanan on Thursday, March 28 will begin at 4:00 instead of 4:30.
Alaina, Madison, and Taryn have been rehearsing with other students from around the state the last two days! Due to the impending storm, tomorrow's All-State concerts have been moved up. Alaina and Madison will now perform at 12:30 and Taryn will perform at 2:30, all in the Bismarck Event Center's exhibition hall.

The elementary VB jamboree in Wishek today has been postponed. A makeup date for this jamboree has not been set yet, but will be communicated as soon as the date is known. There will not be any elementary VB practice today either.
The Easter Egg Hunt planned for Saturday, March 23 has been moved to the English Lutheran Church.

If you are 14 years of age or older and are interested in creating a safe swimming environment, working outdoors, helping with fun events this summer, please see Mrs. Hofmann, as she has the application.

Cordell Volson, of the Cincinnati Bengals, visited our school this afternoon. His message was about putting in the hard work and setting high goals. He was raised in a small town in North Dakota. Today is Acalympics in Linton. We have a JH and SH team competing. The senior high competition will be televised on BEK, starting at 7:00 pm. Good luck!


The Medina Booster Club supports various activities in our school, including (but not limited to) the following activities: Bingo for Books, Spelling Bee, Music, Post Prom, FFA, and sports programs. The Medina Booster Club is serving concessions at the Elementary Volleyball Jamboree on Tuesday, March 19. They are looking for people to help with concessions and tickets. You do not need to be a Booster Club member to help with this fundraiser. If you or your high school child is available to help with concessions, please contact Angela Moser or Mary Wick. If you can’t help with your time, but can support financially, please visit with either of these two and they can help. If you have questions, please call the school.
Next week March 18-22, Student Council will be sponsoring a fundraiser to raise money for Joe Hunt, the UPS man. All proceeds will go towards his medical and PT expenses. Students can wear hats for $5 for the week.

Parent Teacher Conferences are on Monday, March 11 from 1:30-7:30 pm. We hope to see all parents at conferences, as this is a great time to discuss your child(ren)'s progress and learning. We will dismiss school at 1:15 pm.

Do you have a student looking at colleges, trade schools or training after high school? Mrs. Foth will have an informational session for parents during Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, March 11. This will focus on financial aid and paying for college/training programs.
