Eight students from 5th, 6th, and 7th grades represented our school at the "Surround the State in Song" choral festival in Valley City this past Saturday. A public concert followed a long day of rehearsal. Congratulations on a job well done!

Medina Public School will have Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, Oct. 13 from 1:30-7:30 pm. We will dismiss students at 1:15 pm. Please plan to come in on Monday to visit with your child(ren)'s teacher(s).
The Junior HIgh VB matches scheduled for Tuesday, October 7 in Wishek will be played beginning at 3:30 PM in the armory in Wishek. 7th grade will play at 3:30 and 8th grade will follow. The armory address is 1210 1st Ave S and it is located just to the NE of Wishek High School. The C, JV, and Varsity matches will be played at Wishek High School and will begin at 5:00 PM.
The month of October in North Dakota is College Application Month. North Dakota high schools can sign up to host a College Application Day which provides students an opportunity to apply for one college and get their application fee waived. We hosted our event today and eleven of our seniors participated! Our students spent time applying for colleges, completing the FAFSA and updating Dollars for Scholars profiles. A total of 7 colleges, throughout 3 states, received applications from our seniors today. A special thank you to VCSU for sending a volunteer to assist with our event. It was a success!
There will be a flu shot clinic for Medina Public School staff and students on Friday, Oct. 10 at 9:00 am. If you want a form, please call Teresa at the school. There will be a separate flu shot clinic on Oct. 22 for community members of Medina.
The JH VB matches scheduled in Carrington on Monday, Oct. 6 have been cancelled due to a scheduling error. The JH VB team will practice in Pingree on this day instead.
