We shoot Monday evenings at 5pm at the Buffalo City Gun Club by the Jamestown Fair grounds. Our first night of shooting is Monday Sept. 18th . Final week of shooting is Oct 23rd. The kids will need to have their own shotgun and bring a minimum of two boxes of shells a week. They will shoot 2 rounds a week with the option to shoot an extra practice round. They have to pay their own league registration fees but all the rounds of clay shooting are free.
Students must provide their own transportation to and from Jamestown.

Elementary Cross Country practice begins on Tuesday, August 29. Practices will be held from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Here is a link to the practice/meet schedule. A paper copy of the schedule and other information will also be sent home with those interested today.

Yearbooks have come in and have been handed out to students and staff. If you happened to have ordered one but haven't received it, stop by the office. We also have a few extra yearbooks if you happened to have forgotten to hand in and pay for your yearbook before school got out last year. Limited number available and they are on a first come basis - $10/each. See Mrs. Hayes for purchasing the extra yearbooks.

As we begin a new school year, we have become aware of a new program for our families. Here is some information on the ACP (Affordable Connectivity Program) that provides a $30 credit towards internet services for any family that qualifies for Free or Reduced meals.
The ACP process is very simple and easy as well as confidential. The Dakota Central Customer Service Representatives are excellent at helping customers through the process and can be reached by calling 701-952-1000 or 701-652-3184.


Today, our teaching staff had a day of learning in Edgeley with area schools. Our keynote speaker was David Hoff, coach of the the US Paralympic Sled Hockey Team. At the end of his keynote, he presenter Mrs. Hemmer a jersey for being named NDCEC Teacher of the Year in 22-23! David is a math teacher and lives in Bottineau.


Tuesday, August 15 is our Back to School Night from 5-7 pm. Please come and meet your teacher, visit your classroom and enjoy a light supper! We can't wait to see you!

We are so grateful for our generous patron who donated to purchase school supplies for all our students in preschool-6th grade! Students will still need to bring a few personal items, as noted, but all other supplies will be provided. Students will be allowed to bring any specialty item, like a different folder or notebook if they want. See you all soon!

Here's what the tax impact estimator looks like. It's easy to use: click this link: https://www.medina.k12.nd.us/page/school-facility-plan to open the estimator in excel and then enter your real estate "full & true valuation" from your tax statement. You can enter the total valuation of all your land/property at once or enter each individually.
There is another community meeting at the school tonight, Tuesday, July 18 at 6:30 PM to answer questions and provide information about the facility plan. We can also help you figure out what your tax impact will be.

All students in grades 7-12 participating in sports for the 2023-2024 school year must have a valid sports physical. Trisha Fennern, nurse practitioner from Minot Health Clinic, will be conducting sports physicals at Medina School on Friday, August 4 from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Please contact the school by July 29 to set up an appointment. The cost of the physicals is $50 and payment can be made by cash, credit card, or check. Physical forms are available at the school or they may be accessed on the NDHSAA website. Please bring these completed forms with you the day of your physical. Physicals will not be completed unless parental forms are signed, and payment is made. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to complete your paperwork.
