Kids Heart Challenge donations are due tomorrow Friday, February, 23rd. If you have collected cash donations please convert it to a check made out to the American Heart Association. This makes things easier!
Also, if you signed up online please take time to watch the Hand's Only CPR video and Stoke Video which are a part of Finn's Mission. If we have 50% of our online students complete these we will receive $500 in US Games Gift Cards.

Today we had a lyceum about agricultural topics. Our FFA members hosted a Family Feud. Everyone had fun and learned a few things!

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is having a camp this summer at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD for students entering grades 7-12. There are many different sports to choose from at this camp. ND students also are provided free transportation and receive a $100 discount toward their registration. Congratulations to our students who participated in the Stutsman County Spelling Bee! Charice advanced to the oral round and placed 3rd overall. Congratulations to all our students!

FFA Week is February 17th - 24th. Help our FFA Members celebrate by supprting them through their community service project. Information is in the poster. Items can be dropped off at the Medina Public School.

Due to low registration numbers, the archery tournament scheduled for Friday & Saturday (February 16 & 17) in Gackle has been cancelled.

Dinner Theatre: Saturday, February 17th at 6:00pm. We have 16 tickets left for next Saturday's dinner theatre. The meal will be followed by student and community member entertainment. Thursdays in Kindergarten means we are engaging in technology with Mrs.Heinrich! The next couple of weeks we are learning how to use "OSMO"




Kids Heart Challenge 2024 is underway. K-6 students should have come home with fundraising packets yesterday to begin our efforts toward raising $10,000! Some incentives for students include:
-Top Fundraiser gets to name the Gym after themselves for a year.
-Raise $5 and enter a drawing for prizes at the end of fundraising.
-Raise $250 to attend a Heart Hero pizza party
-Top Fundraiser from each class will get to Silly String Mr. Thielges!

or collect cash or checks and put them in the envelope brought home by your student.

Our school community is amazing! We have had some fundraisers to support Mike and Teresa Schelske with travel and medical costs as they navigate Mike’s cancer journey. Teresa was presented with the money from those fundraisers, to help with expenses. We are thankful for our community and their support!

The basketball games in Ellendale on Friday, February 2 will now begin at 4:30 with Junior High instead of 5:00. All games will be played in the main gym. The JH will start at 4:30. JV will begin at 6:00 and varsity will follow the JV game.

At the boys' basketball game on Friday, February 2 in Ellendale, there will be a "Red Out" for Heart Health Awareness. MPB fans are invited to wear red on this night to show support for both the Thunder AND Heart Health Awareness! Let's "Red Out" the whole gym in Ellendale on Friday, February 2! Go Thunder!

On Wednesday, January 31, our 8th grade students will be participating in the NAEP test. Some students will be tested in math and some in reading. This is a national test given to students in 4th, 8th, or 10th grade. This year, our 8th grade students will be participating in the testing.

At tomorrow night's boys’ basketball games, there will be a baked goods silent auction with all proceeds going to Mike & Teresa Schelske for medical and travel expenses. Please come out and show your support for Mike & Teresa!
