Today our juniors and freshman are getting CPR and First Aid certification. One of the area for Choice Ready and the state scholarship is for students to have a certification. With current juniors and freshman gong through this training each year, we are able to ensure our students have this certification, giving them one more component of Choice Ready. We somehow overlooked School Principal's Day yesterday but we are thankful every day for Principal Tara Hofmann. She's one of the good ones! Thank you for being a leader and role model for all of us. Her hard work and dedication is often overlooked or taken for granted, so we want to thank her all she does for our staff, students and families! THANK YOU Mrs. Hofmann!

Medina Public School has an opening for a 6th grade teacher beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. Current base salary is $42,000 for BS and $63,300 for a MS plus 16. The district also pays 2.5% of the teacher's share of Teachers Retirement and provides a full single health insurance policy or you may choose to use that amount for a Flexible Spending Account (medical or dependent care), an annuity or cash. Other benefits include 5 personal days, 12 sick days, and a $250.00 stipend to be applied toward the cost of professional development classes. All applicants must obtain or be able to obtain a North Dakota Teaching License as a condition of employment.

Mid-level Student Council Conference is in Bismarck. We had 5 students and their supervisor attend this conference early this week.



Congratulations to Mr. Danny Fischer for being selected as 2023 Stutsman County Teacher of the Year! Mr. Fischer is eligible to apply for the 2024 North Dakota Teacher of the Year Award. Mr. Fischer is extremely deserving of this recognition. He builds strong connections with his students and makes the learning in his subject area interesting. He leads our Close Up group every year with fundraising and their trip to Washington DC. He coaches baseball for our MPB coop. We are thrilled that Mr. Fischer was nominated and selected for this recognition. Congratulations Mr. Fischer!

Today was our Hoop for Hearts Celebration! Our school and community raised $10,789! That's amazing! Under Mr. Thielges' leadership, our school has raised over $100,000 in lifetime donations. Thank you Mr. T for your leadership and enthusiasm for this worthy cause!
