7-9th grade FFA members are given the opportunity to receive free FFA Jackets through the Blue Jacket/Bright Future Application. Applications are due November 1st. Ms. Vandehoven is more than willing to help students fill them out. Link to applications is on the FFA website.
We worked hard in counseling this week focusing on being active listeners and following directions. The first and second graders tested their skills with a fun Lego activity. They had to build the same Lego structure without seeing each other’s Legos.

Tomorrow, some of our FFA members will compete at District Leadership. Members will participate in parliamentary procedure, employment skills, extemporaneous public speaking, and presenting the FFA creed. Several people are competing in the Sr. Quiz and Greenhand quiz. Good Luck!!

Great job everyone coming with wonderful smiles to photo day yesterday! Class photos will be taken of ALL grades on picture retake day. This is a yearbook fundraiser, our photographer will be out to take any retakes and get photographs of missing students along with the group photos (with proceeds to go to the yearbook for the group class picture). Date is TBA and will be posted as soon as we have a date set.

Scott Moser and Meredith Schmidt from AgCountry/Farm Credit Services joined the 9th grade class today to provide them with FFA Student Handbooks. Scott and Meredith discussed several agricultural careers to get students thinking about their futures. Thank you, Scott & Meredith!

Our elementary students were able to participate in the Cross County meet today. Not only did students run, but we had a parent run alongside her kids and students. Another teacher joined in near the finish. Our families and staff cheered along the sidelines for ALL students!
