How can we promote positive mental health in our schools and communities? There are many recommendations for schools as well as parents, to grow less anxious children and adults. Here are the recommendations for schools: Play FULL schools, offering CTE and work-based learning opportunities, The Let Grow Project and going phone-free at school. Social media sites began in the early 2000s. The “like” button on Facebook and the “retweet” button on Twitter both started in 2009. This was the same time we began to see mental health issues arise. UPDATED 6/20/2024:
The Medina Booster Club and Medina City Park are working together to build a new community building/gymnasium. This building will be used for youth sports practices, and will be available to rent for community and family events.
Funding for the project will come from grants and donations from community members, MPS alumni, businesses, vendors, and fraternal organizations. As you can see, many contributions have already been pledged or given, but it’s not too late to be a part of this worthwhile addition to our community. Contact one of the following committee members to make your pledge/donation today. Thank you for your support!
Matt Carlson @ 368-9339
Scott Moser @ 269-6348
