School starts tomorrow, Tuesday August 17, for students in grades K-12. Preschool begins on Wednesday, August 18. School begins at 8:30 am and dismisses at 3:25 pm.

The VB practice times for Monday, August 16 and Tuesday August 17 have changed. Practice will go from 4:00 to 6:00 each day and will be held in Medina. The bus will leave at 3:00 from Pingree both days. Please pass this information on to all VB players. Thanks!

Medina Public School has 2 TV's for sale via sealed bid. One TV is a 39 inch Panasonic and the other is a 42 in LG. Both TV's work and come with a remote control. Bids should be delivered or mailed to:

Dear Medina Public School Families:
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced that it will extend the free school meals program helping to keep millions of kids fed amid the Corona Virus Pandemic through the 2021-2022 school year.
Students may receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each day. USDA will only reimburse the school for meals, not just milk. A meal must contain at least 3 of the 5 components: Meat/Protein, Fruit, Vegetable, Grain, and Milk. If your student brings cold lunch and takes milk, 25¢ will be charged to their account.
Even though the meals will be free again this school year, we will still be collecting Free and Reduced-Price Income Applications. The October 31 free and reduced numbers are important to our school district in the calculation of foundation aid, e-rate for technology grants, other grants, and Title I funding. If you would normally submit an application for free or reduced meals, or if your income is down this year, please consider filling out the income application.

There will be NO volleyball open gym on Thursday, August 5. The final open gym of the summer will be at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 9 in Pingree.
Ag Ed parents and students, fair projects will be available to take home starting the night of the open house on August 12th. All projects must be taken home by September 3rd.
The Medina FFA Alumni is once again holding a Silent Auction on September 10th during their Annual Pitchfork Fondue. They are currently looking for donations for the auction. If you are interesting in donating items please contact Emmy Hoffmann at 701-320-3666 or Jenny Vandehoven at 701-652-5587. Items can also be dropped off at the school after August 17th. All proceeds from the auction go towards student scholarships and grants.

The Medina FFA Alumni meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 28th starting at 7:30pm in the Ag Ed classroom. All current alumni, along with former FFA members and/or supporters of the FFA are welcome to come.
Medina School has 17 folding chairs (with a desktop workstation) to give away. If you are interested, stop by the school to pick them up.
