Happy Camper Coffee will at Medina School on Thursday, March 17 starting at 3:00. She will be here in the afternoon to make treats for the teachers for conferences and will be available to the public after 3:00. She will stay around until business quiets down.
It is National AmeriCorps Week. We have 2 of the best working with students at our school. Becky Greer works with MathCorps and Sydney Talkington works with ReadCorps. These two ladies are making a difference, everyday, for our students. Thank you ladies for your commitment.
Yesterday, we had 2 teams, one Sr. high and one Jr. high, compete at Acalympics in Linton. Our Sr. high team got 2nd place in their division.

Medina Public School is hiring a custodian to begin July 1, 2022. The individual hired will begin a transition phase with our current custodian who will retire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. Hourly wage is $18-20 per hour, depending on experience. Today was our first day with our artist in residence, Myra. She worked with our high school students and will each Friday in March. In April, it will be our elementary students’ turn.

We started our Kids Heart Challenge a couple weeks ago with a goal of raising $6500.....we finished with a total of $8110.72!
Our top fundraiser this year is Kadin Bodvig! The American Heart Association will provide a banner for our gym, for the next year it will be called "The Kadin Bodvig Gymnasium" for his awesome work!
Medina Public School will receive $700 in US Games Certificates for PE equipment!

Today’s FFA Week project was a team project was to make blankets for the James River Humane society. We made 23 dog blankets and 15 cat blankets!
