Yesterday, we celebrated our Reading Month by playing in the park and baseball. The high school baseball team came and helped a little too!

Gracie Gunderson, Brittney Reister, Gage Hofmann, and Drew Hofmann recently competed in the National Archery Tournament. Congratulations to all archers!
Gracie Gunderson placed 2nd in the bullseye division and 10th in the 3D division. Way to go, Gracie!
Gracie Gunderson and Drew Hofmann will also receive travel grants from the NDGF Department for placing 1st in their divisions at the state level. They will travel to Myrtle Beach, SC on June 10 & 11 to compete in the NASP Championship Tournament. Good luck Gracie and Drew!
The Medina FFA/Close up will have flowers and vegetables available for sale on Friday, May 14th from 3:30-5pm at the new bus barn if anyone is interested.
Congratulations to Gracie on signing her letter of intent to play softball at Bismarck State College next school year. She will be majoring in Criminal Justice while at BSC. Way to go, Gracie!!!
There will be an MPB Thunder basketball camp in Pingree and Medina for students entering grades 3-8. Camp for grades 3-5 will be held June 3 & 4. Camp for grades 6-8 will be held June 7 & 8. Tomorrow, May 4th is the last day to sign up for State FFA Convention that will be held June 7-10th @ NDSU. This convention is open to 7-12 grade FFA members. Sign up sheets are in the Ag Room.
The University of Jamestown is offering a Creative Smartlab Camp on July 8 & 9 for students entering grades 3-8. This camp is FREE and seating is limited, so sign up soon at uj.edu/slc
The Medina Close-up/FFA plants from the fundraiser will be ready for delivery/pick-up on Friday, May 7th after 3pm until 8pm or Saturday, May 8th from 9am-Noon.
Today the 8th graders joined us for North Dakota History class. We learned about different products made in ND, and found the cities on our maps. Thanks to all the companies that donated samples for us. A special thanks to our two local stores, Reister’s and Kramlich-Deede’s for donating yummy pepper sticks, jerky, and donuts!
Medina’s Prom Grand March begins at 7:30 pm Saturday night. Gym doors will open at 7:15 pm. Cost is $2/person for watch Grand March.
Prom attendees need to be at the school by 7:00 pm and go to the history room with their belongings.
Couples have scheduled prom pictures times.
Parents of students in grades 6-11, you will be receiving a letter in the mail with your child’s class schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. The letter will also include class requirements, expectations, and qualifications. Please check, sign and return the bottom portion of the class schedule, for each child. If you have questions, please call the school and ask for Mrs. Aaseth or Mrs. Hofmann.
Congratulations to Calli Mack and Abby Helm on receiving a $500 Elks Scholarship. Calli & Abby will be attending the Bismarck State College next school year. Calli will be majoring in Elementary Education and Abby will be majoring in Power Generation Technology. Way to go ladies!!!
