All extra-curricular activities (including practices and after-school events) will be suspended at Medina Public School until December 14 due to Governor Burgum’s recent executive order. School will continue to be held in-person and masks are required as part of the executive order.

Tomorrow is World Kindness Day. We will celebrate Kindness all week next week. We have dress up days planned as well as activities to promote kindness throughout our school and community. Please help us promote kindness by participating and visiting with your child about spreading kindness each day.

The Medina FFA Chapter is selling Fruit and Pizza as a fundraiser through Friday, November 13. If you are in need of any please contact Ms. Vandehoven at 701-486-3121 during the hours of 8-4 or email at jenny.vandehoven@k12.nd.us . We appreciate our supportive community.

Just a reminder that Parent-Teacher conferences have been rescheduled for Monday, November 9 from 2:30-8:30. School will be dismissed at 2:00. Conference time will be limited to 10 minutes or less with each teacher and masks are required. Thank you!

The Medina school music department will be baking kuchen on Nov. 20-21 to raise money for our 2021 music trip to Omaha, NE. If you'd like to order, return the order form and money to the school no later than Nov. 18. Quantities and flavors may be limited, so first come, first serve!

It’s Election Day! Our 4th graders are hosting an election poll today. We are voting for president, governor and a measure for our school.



Medina Public School will resume school in-person on Monday, November 2. Governor Burgum has moved Stutsman County to the YELLOW risk level, and we will follow the guidelines in our Health & Safety plan for this level. In the YELLOW level, all students and staff are required to wear masks on buses and in spaces where physical distancing is not possible. Students will be provided breaks and will be allowed to remove their mask when outside or in spaces that can accommodate physical distancing. Thank you for your support in helping to keep our students and staff safe and IN SCHOOL!

The District 6 VB match between MPB & Kidder County will be played in Medina at 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 31. Vouchers are required for admittance to the volleyball match. There is a limited number of vouchers. If you would like a voucher, please call the school to reserve yours. Voucher prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

If students forgot to bring home learning materials (textbooks, band instruments, etc.) please call the school so we can make arrangements to deliver materials.

Medina Public School will be offering grab and go lunches for students during our week of distance learning. If you would like to receive a lunch, please call the school by 9:00 AM on Monday so we can prepare the correct number of meals. Lunches may be picked up at the school between 12:00 and 12:30 each day.

We will be distance learning Oct. 26-29, 2020. Here is the HS schedule, as well as the expectations of elementary. Elementary teachers will post on their class pages and/or google classroom site about specific times. Look for this information by Sunday afternoon. Stay warm and be safe.

Due to the long weekend and number of students and staff in quarantine, we are sending home students' ipads/chromebooks as well as text books. This is just as a precaution.

The elementary boys’ basketball game scheduled for October 20 in Steele has been cancelled. There will be no practice in Medina this week.
